Notes from the front porch

Fresh drafting updates and plotlines

Writing is always an adventure full of twists, messy first drafts, and sudden epiphanies. In these posts, I pull back the curtain on my creative process, give sneak peeks into upcoming releases, and share character notes straight from my Fredericton desk. Join the conversation in the comments and let me know where you think the next plot should go.

I have restarted The Lost Brother. I didn't like how the story was going, so I cut it back. Now, to start clean and give the poor soul the ending he deserves.

Also, I'm plotting out the plot of the sequel to my novel The Wanderer. Its working title is Saved; let's hope Michael can save us once again.

Spotlighting fellow indie authors

The independent publishing community is brimming with extraordinary talent and untold stories. Here, I love chatting about fellow indie storytellers whose work keeps me turning pages late into the night. Check out my candid reviews, discover new indie voices to add to your reading queue, and support original literature directly.

I have friends who write and like me; choose the indie life. One such friend is Todd Lovejoy; he is a writer and artist. If you get a chance, go to his site and look at the wonderful work he is doing.
